lame title right?
but i swear, it has something to do with what i'm going to be talking about.
i seriously wish i could have lived in the time of the egyptians. their culture absolutely fascinates me. [well, aside from the massive amounts of inbreeding in the royal lineage. i understand they were trying to keep the bloodline pure, but obvs. that didn't work out so well when they started getting deformed. -shudder- moving on!]
seeing as how i can't actually, y'know, transport myself back in time, i think i'd like to take a trip to egypt. visit some of the tombs, immerse myself in the culture. a friend of mine just got back from a ten day trip to europe and she said she loved it, but i don't think just a couple weeks would be enough. i want to go to egypt and live there, maybe for a few months, maybe for years even. i have no idea what type of schooling is involved, but i'd almost like to look into what archeology would take. there's a lot of work invol -insert sarah being distracted by young!chad michael murray on one tree hill rerun- ahem. involved to actually being an archeologist, but wow. the things you learn and see, the things you get to do and the places you get to visit.... it's incredible.
and to think all of this was brought around by a deep love of camels and watching egypt week on discovery channel.
