------- time: five hours @_X inspiration: [link] , epiphany - staind, collide - skillet playlist: various. details: [link] --------- so this needs a bit of an explanation. i was browsing through my favorites and landed upon *icaruswinged's aforementioned poem. the poem itself is fantastic, but what struck me were the few words she had written in the artist's comments: and in our dying, we're more alive than we have ever been. somehow those three lines, those few little words, led to this. so thank you, darling, for being my muse and inspiration. and also for putting up with all my bitching and carrying on all the time. you're an angel. ♥ --------- stock: ~FantasyDesignStock - horse [link] =SalsolaStock - rock slope/platform [link] =resurgere && `wroth - wasteland backgrounds [link] =arrsistable - hair && smoke/fog brushes [link] && [link] thankyou! ------- i'm immensely proud of the entire piece on the whole, but the mane and tail ( i say this a lot, don't i? ) are my favorite in this one. i finally got off my lazy streak and used my tablet to paint the entire mane by hand with a tiny little 2px brush. the tail was too daunting for that, so thanks go to arrsis for saving me with her nifty paint your own brushes. <3 oh and i opened his mouth and gave him teef. :3 --- thank you for not redistributing, reproducing, copying, altering or using this piece for anything other than admiration. |
